Research Engineer, Signal Processing (m/f/d)

Main Tasks

  • Research and/or further develop signal processing algorithms for the clinical fitting of a new line of medical devices using novel video-based objective measures
  • Deploy algorithms in a research software that can be used by external stakeholders in pre-clinical patient trials
  • Actively participate in design and architecture definition for the overall device fitting workflow
  • Document algorithms and disseminate to other groups within MED-EL
  • Collaborate with Project Leaders in R&D to incorporate new methods into a final product

Requirements

  • Degree level or higher qualification in related technical, clinical or medical sciences
  • Excellent skills in signal processing; additional experience in image processing is a plus
  • Programming skills in one or more languages (e.g. C/C++/MATLAB/Python/LabVIEW)
  • Research experience (e.g. Masters/PhD) is an advantage
  • Good verbal and written English skills, communicative personality and independent and accurate approach and willingness to work in an agile team


Salary will be determined based on professional experience; the formal minimum salary according to Collective Bargaining Agreement is EUR 36,154.72
